Market Update: Cyclone Evan - Fiji
Cyclone Evan that decimated Samoa on 14 December 2012 has now struck the west coast of Fiji overnight. Winds of up to 270kph that accompanied the Category 4 Cyclone have caused extensive damage.
Storm Alert: Typhoon Bopha
Typhoon Bopha (local name: Pablo) ripped into the Eastern Coastal Area of Mindanao, Southern Philippines on the morning of Tuesday 04 December 2012.
Flooding in Manila
Torrential rain over a period of at least 24 hours caused extensive flooding on Tuesday, 07 August 2012 across Metro Manila and its surrounding Provinces. Over 323 millimetres (13 inches) of rain fell on Metro Manila in a day and the rain continues today. The average monthly rainfall for Metro Manila for August is about 504mm.
Typhoon Saola hits Taiwan
Typhoon ‘Saola’ struck Taiwan between Wednesday 1st August 2012 and Thursday 2nd August 2012, resulting in flash flooding, mudslide and power outages throughout the island, in particular Yilan County.
